By using Surface ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Surface is an AI-powered job search tool that scores Hacker News "Who Is Hiring?" posts against your job criteria. The Service is provided free of charge, with a limit of one search per user per day.

3. Rate Limits

Each user is limited to 1 search per calendar day (UTC). This limit exists because AI scoring incurs computational costs. We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time. Attempting to circumvent rate limits (e.g., by creating multiple accounts) may result in account suspension.

4. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the Service for illegal purposes.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Do not submit prompts containing personal information of others.
• Do not use automated tools to submit prompts.

5. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Surface uses AI/LLM technology to score job postings. Scores are estimates and may not accurately reflect job suitability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Always verify job details directly with the employer. We are not responsible for the content of third-party job postings.

6. Data Sources

Job data is sourced from public Ask HN: Who is hiring? threads on Hacker News. We do not own or guarantee the accuracy of this data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LabasLabas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
